THE MODERN YOGI

Inspired from Japanese aesthetics, The Modern Yogi attempts to redefine communal seating.  Legs casted in white cement and coconut coir, make the bench twice as light and as  durable as concrete. coconut coir leaves a  beautiful terrazzo like visual texture adding to its aesthetics. The strip (teak) wood seating with brass details take away the remaining visual weight,making it light as feather. 

The idea behind creating this bench was to explore the new composition (coconut coir and white cement) in terms of utility on a bigger scale. The design is simple and speaks for itself.
